Naughty or Nice?

That is the big debate around our house. Unfortunately, little Dylan doesn't have very many votes for nice. But......he is so darn cute. You honestly can't stay mad at him. It is impossible! He is so mellow and so easy going that you find yourself forgiving him before he says he's sorry. He loves glass. He loves to touch it, bang on it, and most of all make it crash. (Who needs Aqua Globes anyway!!!) Light bulbs are overrated. Ceramic decorations look much better when they make a rainbow of colors after Mommy sweeps it into a pile. What? Light sockets.........plastic bags.....chemicals under the sink? These are a few of his favorite things!!! You can't keep him out with that baby proofing stuff. Seriously, I think it was designed for a newborn. He can break them off and pull them out without blinking. With all this said........he is amazing.

Have you seen him....... kick a soccer ball? Drink from a straw? Bring an item he was told to get from upstairs in a toy box? Dance like he was John Travolta? Laugh so loud and so hard he can't stand up? Pucker up for a kiss....just because? Snuggle on the couch and watch T.V.? Share with anyone who will open their mouth? Blow on his own food? Put his hands together to pray? Tell us after grace what he is thankful for? Say thank you at all the right times? Wonder through each room satisfying his natural curiosity? Figuring out how something works and showing whoever is around what he has done?

So, we are kind of hoping Santa will overlook some of the naughty.... and focus on the tender heart he beholds:)

Rebel

Here is Dom on Grampa's new chopper. He looks a little bit comfortable. Don't you think? The next post will be about Dylan, but I must share some more of Dom's three year old wisdom.

Conversation#1 Dom is playing catch with me in front of an elementary school. We are waiting to pick up some friends. He is being crazy with the football. I tell him that he can forget a car when he's sixteen because he is too wild!!! His response,"That's okay Mommy, I talked to Jesus and he's going to buy me a Mach 5 when I can drive."-I know I don't have a comeback either!

Conversation#2 Dominick is being silly trying to guess what Dad brought him home from China. So to aggravate him, Mommy tells him that maybe Dad will bring him home a baby sister. Dom's response, "Or maybe, he will bring home a new Mommy!"-Ouch!!!!

Conversation #3 We arrive at Grampa's to watch the Cowboy game. Grampa has the garage open and tells Dom to go look around. Dom turns the corner and responds, "My motorcycle!"-I hope you enjoyed it Grampa the short time it was yours:)

What a comedian!!!

Laugh of the day.....

....So the boys and I are in the car running errands. Dylan begins fussing and continues to throw a big one. I am kind of immune to it. I even find myself dancing a little to the beat of that's mine, stop it, and I had it first. How sad that these have been replaced with real music. What is on the radio these days??????

....Okay so I digress. Dylan screams for about five minutes straight and this pushes Dom over the edge. He turns to his tear stained brother and points his finger in front of his little nose and asks, "Do you want a baby sister?" At this point, I am really curious as to where this is going. Then he threatens, "Well, that is what you are going to get if you don't stop fussing!"

Who would of thought there was something worse than a spanking:)

My little football fan.....

This is what Dad and Dom do in between commercial breaks. It is sooo cute I just had to get a video. I might add, they do this over and over and over. Dads are so fun!!!

...Because this was not captured in the video I will write some of the plays called:

On the floor, around the stairs, check out the cheerleaders.....hut...hut!

Look left, take a drink, wave to the cheerleaders......hut...hut!

......You obviously get the picture:)

Got lost somewhere?? Random thoughts and posts....

I know it has been a month as my sweet husband and family have so sweetly been hinting. I thought once school was in session I would have tons of time. Well.....not so much.
A little update. Dylan had his first year check-up and all was well. He is in the 10-16% in weight. Gi Gi doesn't believe it! I myself must say he is like a ton of bricks. He must empty them before being placed on the scale at the doctor's office. His height is in the 85-90th percentile. His head is 50th. So he is long and lean. (Really he looks short and fat, but what do I know....after all, I have had no medical training.) We are really having a tough time with his Eczema. Thanks to Melissa we invested in a huge tub of Aquaphor that is working well.
Dominick is smart as ever. Grampa bought him a Mickey Mouse CD that says his name and Dominick just about died with delight. You can all rest, because apparently Dominick has already begun his Christmas list. Too bad his on top of it mother is finished shopping! (Yea right!!!) We have been going to the Zoo a lot. Dom loves it!!!
I am busy treasuring each and every moment. Don't tell Shawn, but I could do this forever. I love all this precious time I have with the boys.
I will update with pictures soon. Have a blessed day.
