Okay...I am all packed!

Boy is he going to be surprised! Little man is not going on this trip. The Grandma's can't wait to love on him all week. And if he could speak.......he would ask the never-ending question that haunts our home day and night.......WHY?????

I thought that word was a curious word that little children use to seek the truth and all it encompasses in our ever-changing world. Why do the birds sing? Why are we going this way? Why did he say that? Why are you making that face?

Face? Oh that face. Because,........that is the 562nd time you asked me that cute little question. I am now convinced that that sweet innocent word has found its way into our naughty little home as a manipulative device. (Used to seek and destroy, or at least push Mom over the edge)

Now, it's not why Mommy, but a slightly gruffer tone of WHY MOMMY??????? WHY NOT??????
WHY DO I HAVE TO? I DON"T WANT TO!

So....looking at my sweet little boys takes me back to my father. Out of the blue he would say, "So whatcha think?" I would reply with, "About what?" "Just everything," he would say.

I get it......this was an aversion to our why questions! Okay probably not, my father is so sweet he really wanted to know what we were thinking, but either way, I used it on the boys. (Well, boy.) It worked!!!!! When I sense he's about to play the why game, I come back with "Whatcha think?" BINGO! He's off on a new topic.

Happiness is......

Watching your children laugh so loud,

Looking in their eyes and feeling so proud.

Spending special time with the love of your life,

Really focusing on being a wife.

Making my baby smile and giggle,

Changing his diaper as he tries to wiggle.

Spending time with good friends so cleaver and funny,

At the zoo, at the mall, or filling our tummies.

Hearing your little boy talk to God so sweet,

Kissing his squirmy precious little feet.

Doing what you love, and loving what you do,

Even though most of the time you don't have a clue.

Watching the Lord shape and mold your world just right,

Raining down blessings and holding you tight.

Keeping those you love safe, healthy, happy and secure,

Knowing he will provide for his love is pure.

Admiring your parents for the sacrifices made,

Hoping you have become all they prayed.

Hearing your children call out your name,

Hoping that Santa really came.

Eating an ice cream and watching it drip,

Giving sweet smooches with sticky little lips.

Having deep conversations when he is only three,

For there must be a reason the green is on the tree.

Going on vacations, getting our haircuts, cheering at soccer games, and playing in the pool,

All pieces of our amazing life ..........

That makes it pretty cool!

Well....he keeps telling me he is not a performing baby......

This is as good as it gets for the moment. He does it ALL the time except for when Mommy gets out the camera:)

Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun.......

Okay, it is hot!!!!! What goes better with hot than cool, refreshing, rejuvenating.....WATER:) Well, since last post Dominick and Dylan met their new baby cousin. She is adorable and sooo sweet. My brother says she looks just like my sister and I when we were born. She was 9lbs., 14oz. Juicy and precious as ever. We are glad she is home. Dominick loved seeing his cousins so excited about their baby sister. Although, he did tell me that he does not want anymore brothers or sisters. He said he loved Dylan. (I think he may be under the impression that in order to get another one you have to put the one you have back......after all that is the rule at the grocery store when he is begging for 5 different toys:)

Well, we made our trip to Kansas and Oklahoma. We really had a good time at the reunion and we were really excited to see Shawn's Uncle. He looked great. Shawn also got to see several of his relatives he had not seen in years. Gi Gi and Grandpa were there and the boys loved it. Aunt Kay Kay and Uncle B and the girls were there also. Dominick does love spending time with his cousins. They are very sweet with him and Dylan too! The last day we stopped by Turner Falls. Dylan had more fun than anyone. It was perfect for him in the shallow parts of the rock. We had a blast. Check out the picture of Dominick in what I like to call "time out." (Hee Hee) It was really a stone castle we literally had to hike up the side of the mountain to get to. Pretty cool, but it would have been even better if Mommy were in shape:)

......And did our fun end there? Nope, we met KJ and Landon at the Zoo the following day. It was hot but the overcast made it bearable. The boys (all three) did wonderful!!!! It was a perfect little play date.

It still has not sunk in that I am actually staying home with the boys. It seem like such a whirlwind right now. As soon as I get some kind of schedule it will make it a bit easier. I am going to attempt to post a video tomorrow of Dylan waving and saying, "bye, bye." Such a big boy. I will leave you with three pictures two of Turner Falls and the other of our Zoo outing.

What a great weekend.....

What a weekend. We had a great time at my nephew's baptism. What a great service and the baptismal ceremony was beautiful. It took place outside in a courtyard with a gorgeous fountain. We are sooooo proud of him. Dominick and Dylan did fine in church, but began to get a little loud. It was a happy loud. Dominick spoke in a loud voice, "Where are those people going?" as the choir began to dismiss from the front. "Shhhh" was the word I kept repeating. He is just not used to going to "BIG church" So about 2/3 through the service I took them to the nursery and they had a pleasant time. (They were only in there for about 15 minutes.
After the service, we went over to Wayne's house for a swim with our fun cousins. Dominick had a blast soaking everyone with the water gun. (Uncle Johnny too!) We had an awesome time being with family. What a perfect day!
The boys were beat. (So were Mommy and Daddy) Dominick decided to swing, and play soccer with Dad, after working up a sweat they went and got snow cones.
Dylan meanwhile is crawling and pulling up on everything!!!! He loves dog food! YUCK! YUCK! YUCK!
I really want to post a video of Dylan doing all his tricks, but technology stands in the way. Hopefully, my dear sweet friend Kim can give me a few hints. Have a blessed week:)
