Can you take a little off the top????

Yes....don't blink! The boys are sporting a new look. So Shawn and I are remodeling our powder bathroom. We thought surely the boys will be good without 100% supervision for a couple of hours. We checked on them quite often. (Especially when the screams were conspicuous) Dylan had already fed the large toy dinosaur raspberry filled brownies the night before. This should have been our first clue.
While working on bathroom the lights began to flicker and we found Dylan pulling the electric cord and pushing it back in with delight. Next, Dominick runs in to tell us we have a big problem. After further investigation, Shawn finds Dylan has climbed up on a table and broken a glass.
......Soon after this is when it happened!!!! Dominick can't stand to wash his hair. He will do it, but kicking and whining! So, he knocks on the door and tells me he needs to wash his hair. I immediately knew something was up. He said Dylan put something sticky in it. The light was hitting his hair just right and I opened the door a little more. One HUGE strip of hair was missing down the middle. Shawn informed me that it was a zero. (Which meant the clippers had no guard) I hear a buzzing from a distance. We find the clippers and then Dylan. He had moved on to a new task. He had gotten his hair also, but not like his brother's.
We ended up having to pretty much shave ALL of Dominick's and most of Dylan's hair. Shawn was a life saver. He calmed Dominick down when he finally understood what had happened. Dominick was upset!! Shawn told him how cool it looked and that he might even do it too. He also told him about Beckham and we pulled up a picture on the Internet. Shawn did an awesome job at diffusing the situation. Where was I? Sobbing in a corner:)
When he began shaving off the hair I really started to cry. (Dominick never saw me) We just keep telling him how handsome he looks. The good news.....it will grow out in about 2-3 weeks. The bad news......we have already gotten "poor little sick boy" looks.
So there it is......not the look we were going for but the boys can pull anything off:)
****Note the shirts above say, "MAJOR TROUBLE." Quite appropriate!!!

Uh Mrs. Sharon, we won't be in for haircuts for a while:)

We did go to Thomas the Train on Saturday. They had a blast, but it was so cold it felt like the Polar Express. This is the day before the hair incident.

This is Spring Break at Nana and Grandaddy's house. Dylan's taking a little ride with Nana.

Dominick and Nana are great buddies!!! His kite wouldn't fly, but he had a great time trying.

SUNDAY IN THE PARK

nmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnmnm

What a gorgeous day! We woke up and I wrangled the boys together for their morning bath before church. That's when I saw the discrepancy between our alarm clocks and the cable box. I suppose I did not get the memo.......we lost an hour. We missed church completely which I loathe!!!! It seems like in the past two months the boys have had a fever, runny nose, vomiting, or something of the likes that have prevented us from going to Sunday School. So I told Dominick we would just have to go out a find God today.
Of course he thought Mommy had finally lost it. We got ready and I took the boys to the park for a picnic. They loved it!!! As we are eating lunch Dominick says, "God sure did make a beautiful day for us." I responded with, "He sure did!" Dominick then says, "Mom everything is different and you said God makes things different so that everything is special. So, God must be in everything, right?" What a smart little boy!!!
We sure are missing Daddy who is displaced at the moment, but will be back soon:) Before he left, we had a lovely evening Friday night. We took the boys down to Southlake Square and had dinner. We stopped for a few photo opportunities at the fountain. They were a delight!!! I have noticed in the past few weeks how much easier it has gotten to take them out. How much fun they are! I am getting really excited about our big trip to the beach and Disneyworld with the boys this Summer.
On a different note, I am getting ready to begin the application process for next year. I miss teaching. This year that I have had with the boys is priceless!!!! Nevertheless, I know it is time to go back. Shawn and I would love to get a larger house and move closer toward the metroplex. (You never know we might need a fourth bedroom;)

A Little Touch of Paradise!

Shawn relaxing in the water.

Cheesy picture I insisted upon:)

That's what I am talking about!!!!!

Our friend Cheryl. She is the manager at Couples. We made friends last time we were there. We are at the Martini Bar catching up!!!!

Shawn and I at the Martini Bar. We are about to have Thai food....YUM!!

Up Up and AWAY......

Shawn and I at Margaritaville.

Check out the water!!!!

Our first night and so glad to be there....

Dad in the airport! Hmmmm.......I think it is time to put away the Blackberry.
I finally got a chance to update about our trip to Jamaica......Or better known as "Negril" for the purpose of Dominick. I guess we were gone a little too long the last time we went and he has a fit every time we mention the word Jamaica. So....Shawn and I sat down and told him we would be going to Negril and he was fine.
I missed the boys terribly, but I must say it was an amazing trip. Relaxing, fun, and a little bit crazy. We did so many incredible things, I am not sure where to begin. I was at the spa a lot!!! I love massages and it seemed like a perfect idea after relaxing in the sun all day:) There is this one therapist there that rocks!!!! She always asks why I have knots in my neck. The old answer was, well.....I am a teacher. This time I said they are four and one. That seemed to explain everything:)
Shawn and I did the same routine as always, but with a little twist. I read two novels by the beach whenever I could. (Which was most of the time).....and yes sipping little umbrella drinks. Then we did something really crazy........Para sailing.
My father in law and his girlfriend went as well and I think we all talked each other into it. Just for the record, we said our goodbyes and told one another to take care of our loved ones before we took off. It was amazing and a bonus we all came back alive. Everyone should try it, the scenery is amazing. I am not sure I would ever do it again, but it is worth trying.
We also had dinner on the beach. Every time we do this I love it more!!! If you have never tried this.....YOU MUST!!! The sound of the crashing waves, the moon aglow, the candle flickering, the wonderful wine.......I think you get it:)
When we returned our little boys were ready for us to be home. I guess Mommy and Daddy's "time-out" is just what we needed:)
